Dr. Lorch has just relocated to Shanghai after practicing in the United States for more than 20 years. He is an expert at medical orthopedic care specializing in sports health and spine conditions.
With Dr. Lorch’s unique training and experience, he works closely with primary care doctors, surgeons, and rehab specialists to assess, diagnose, and treat a variety of sports injuries and spine conditions. Until now, Dr. Lorch spent his entire career in the United States. After graduating magna cum laude from the University of Notre Dame, Dr. Lorch went onto Ohio State University for medical school where he also performed his residency. Following his residency, he underwent a one year intensive postgraduate fellowship training in spine, sports and rehabilitation at Buffalo Spine & Sports Institute in New York. He went on to obtain U.S. board certification in three disciplines: sports medicine, pain medicine, and physical medicine & rehabilitation. Prior to joining IWS, he was the sports medicine director and faculty physician at Carolinas Healthcare System in North Carolina where he also acted as team physician for college and high school athletes.
